We spent the last few lessons looking at dominant 7th chords. You can think about them as the Major version of a 7th chord. You can also make the minor version of 7th chords. They’re unsurprisingly called a minor 7th chords.

Minor 7th chords use one less finger than a minor barre chord. I like to think of them as adding a Jazz color to chords and progressions. 

(Note: Dominant 7th chords are always written with just the ‘7’ after the chord name. “G7” is a G dominant 7th chord. The minor 7th chord would be written as “Gm7”).
