Tomas,

Thanks for the “Very Best Blues” list. I have listened to them all on YouTube. Of course I can not play any of them at this point but, as you requested, here is a list of the ones I like best in no particular order except where noted:
Lucille
House of the rising sun
Early Morning Rain, – really like this one (Elvis, Peter Paul & Mary and others)
Windy and Warm
Long Way Back Home
Near You (Roy Clark)
Let’s Get Together (Young bloods)
Going Down Slow (J. Oden)
Baby Please Don’t Go – really like Joe Murphy lesson on YouTube
Payday – Blues Guitar lesson on YouTube by Mississippi John Hurt

Not sure but I might also like:
Leaving Blues
I Just want to make Love to You
So Fine
Hey! Bo Diddley
Walkin and Talkin

Thanks again.

Bill

I love blues too..some of my favs are Albert King (well Freddie and BB too ha ha), Mississippi John Hurt, Lightning Hopkins, Stevie Ray Vaughn and I left out a million more 🙂 ..really I like all types but those old delta blues are so nice on acoustic. Hi Bill,
Wow… Great question. No small order.

I did some research and found this video (just audio really) on YouTube that I think has some of the best blues songs, and good variety.

I can see they are violating copyrights and at some point YouTube will probably take it down.

When you get the chance let us know here which songs you like best.

Tomas

Only been playing for 6 months but I like playing Blues but don’t know any Blues artist or many Blues songs other than what you have on lesson plans. Can you help with providing Blues songs for someone at my level? Is there a good “Blues song book available? Thanks.
