There are 3 basic “rules” I like to use when teaching the notes of the fretboard:

The Rule Of Intervals

The Rule Of B, C, E, F

The Rule Of The Musical Alphabet
We’ll go into detail on all three rules in the video. When you really boil music theory down, it’s nothing more than knowing the alphabet and basic math. Once you understand these basic rules it’s just a matter of memorization and repetition.
