Lesson 7 – Pattern #3

.

  • DESCRIPTION

If you know the notes on the 6th string then you already know the notes on the 1st string. They’re the same! This last pattern uses the 1st string as a reference to find notes on the 3rd string.

This is a new way to visualize the fretboard. You’ll find that visualizing the fretboard helps you “see” these octaves without having to think about it.

Oh wow in this course / lessons it has tied it all together in learning how to navigate through the fretboard. Will be having some fun in jumping around over the fretboard with these new learned patterns
& checking myself with my tuner to double checking im getting them correct & practice this over next week or two and try it out as my warm up. Just having fun but most importantly learning the fretboard.
This is a major part of what I was missing to understand the fretboard! Thank you Tomas , this is gold for me in understanding the fretboard, I know it will come into play with soloing / improvising.
Yahoo will be practicing this like you said ….so it becomes 2nd nature!
