this one is challenging nevertheless, its an excellent exercise to help with getting the fingers moving and also practice with moving\changing the fingers on both hands excellent!
Thank You

For me it seems to keep me on track if I name the notes of the scale when I play them. Otherwise I forget what’s next. Also the stretch for me is using my middle finger to play the F# on the first string. I like this exercise and the G drone and looking forward to playing it smoothly – someday.

Sounds good John. If you find naming the notes helpful please continue. However, as you progress I suggest letting go of the habit. It really is fine when you’re first learning but it creates a small problem later that’s not obvious.

The short explanation is by introducing the mental process of naming notes it will slow you down when you try to play faster. Since that would be a more advanced lesson I don’t want to burden you now with a thorough explanation. I’d rather you continue naming the notes and keep in mind there is another level.

Thanks Tomas I appreciate the feedback.
